Recently the children in the Preschool Room had the opportunity to go to Richmond Woolworths for the day to learn about fresh food and produce. The children and educators caught the bus from South Windsor to Richmond, where they got off and walked to Woolworths. Once In Woolworths they were greeted by an employee who took the children and educators for a tour around the shop and behind the deli and the bakery. The children had many opportunities to ask questions and learn about where our food comes from. Each of the children were given a goodie bag each to take home with them. After the tour was over the children walked over to the local park to enjoy some fun on the playground equipment before having some yummy hot chip sandwiches and water for lunch. They then boarded the bus and arrived back at the centre, where their parent were waiting to collect them.
